Mikä on Lehmäviikko?   

Mikä on sinun lehmäsuhteesi?  Jokioisten ensimmäinen lehmäviikko järjestettiin helmikuussa 2026, Vuonna 2027 lehmäilemme maaliskuussa 1.3-7.3.2027.

Lehmäviikko on yhteisöllinen tapahtuma. Viikon tavoitteena on tehdä lehmien merkitystä tunnetuksi. Viikon aikana Jokioisilla tapahtuu; on näyttelyitä, luentoja, sauna, musiikkia ja mukavaa yhdessäoloa. Vuoden 2026 lehmäviikon teemana oli ”Minne lehmät kuljettaa”. Vuoden 2027 teema julkaistaan myöhemmin 

Lehmät ovat olleet tärkeä osa Suomen historiaa, kansanperinnettä ja lehmää jopa pidetään suomalaisen maaseudun symbolina.

Lehmäviikon idean luojina ja  puuhaajina toimivat jokioislainen agronomi ja vapaataiteilija Maija Kivinen sekä Jokioisiin taidetyötilan Northernmoolandian perustanut artenomi, taiteilija     Jaana Moo Viitamäki.

What is cow week?

HOW DO YOU MOO? Jokioinen's first cow week was organized in February 2026. In 2027, we will be having cows in March from March 1 to March 7, 2027.

Cow Week is a community event. The aim of the week is to make the importance of cows known. During the week, there will be exhibitions, lectures, a sauna, music and fun togetherness in Jokioinen. The theme of the 2026 Cow Week was "Where do cows go?" The theme for 2027 will be announced later.

Cows have been an important part of Finnish history and folklore, and the cow is even considered a symbol of the Finnish countryside.

The creators and promoters of the idea for Cow Week are Maija Kivinen, an agronomist and freelance artist from Jokioinen, and Jaana Moo Viitamäki, an designer and artist who founded the art studio Northernmoolandia in Jokioinen.

Would you like to be a supporter of Cow Week? We are looking for sponsors. Cow Week is organized with volunteers, but costs arise from marketing, official permits, catering, etc.
